Bardoli is a place next to Surat for healthcare needs of South Gujarat people. Rural people reach here by road & by railway for common/complicated as well as emergency medical needs. Due to lack of proper healthcare facilities doctors were compelled to refer cases requiring team approach with ICU facilities. Many such cases deferred to go and took patient home in grief. Moreover, South Gujarat has villages with many NRIs in USA, Canada, UK & Africa. Since many years South Gujarat was waiting for a private hospital which can come up to their expectations.
Who will create Healthcare facility in demand?
This is a difficult question to answer because to invest, to design, to construct, to get doctors team, to manage it for a lifelong period is not easy. Myself with wife Dr.Bharati have worked since 1988 in Bardoli. We got wholehearted response for our earlier venture of Shishudeep children’s hospital started in 1989, which continues even today.
Sickle cell anemia was a less known, hardly recognized health issue in 1988. Over 32 years we worked, we fought difficult situations, we sacrificed out time and energy for Sickle cell found in tribal population. We sensed need of the time & decided to bring 1st Private Multi-speciality hospital in Bardoli which can provide treatment to medical, surgical, orthopedic, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, physiotherapy and sickle cell cases under one roof.
What should be the standard of Hospital infrastructure?
Any Healthcare setup needs meticulous planning so as to match national & international standards. We designed hospital which is patient focused. We studied corporate hospitals of India and abroad to decide on functional environment within hospital to match needs of all clients.
